We have had the two Weight Loss Kickoff Presentations and now it’s just implementation.
The weight loss challenge has started but that doesn’t mean it’s too late for you to lose some pounds. Now it is just getting down to following the program.
If you have not yet joined the program and downloaded materials, we are leaving them on the site for a couple of more weeks. Here is a summary of the concept and program
The concept is that weigh loss is closely tied to a insulin regulation. This concept was first discovered by German and Austrian scientists in the first half of the 20th century. The scientific data was widely acknowledged in Europe and by major universities in the United States in the 1920′s. However after World War II, American scientists and physicians turned away from all things German and the science was lost. We turned to rich carbohydrate diet which has had severe health consequences.

Also, you still have time to download the Nutrition and Exercise Journals on the South Yuba club website. Over the next 6 weeks we’ll get you on track to looking and feeling your best.

Does this apply to both clubs?
Yes, Jan, it does. You can attend the Kickoff Meeting at either Club regardless of where you are a member: First Kickoff Meeting at in Nevada City Club, this Monday, Jan. 23rd. Second one is at the Grass Valley Club, Wednesday, Feb. 1st. Phil

Hi Loraine, the next Kickoff meeting will be Wednesday, Feb. 1st the Grass Valley location – 722 Freeman Lane (Pine Creek Shopping Center). The Club is right next to Raley’s Market. The meeting will be at 6:30 pm. Mike will be presenting a Power Point lecture on nutrition and weight loss. He puts the issue into an historical perspective, discuss food and exercise and the interaction between the two (facts often not well known), the impact of hormone on fat accumulation (and what you can do about it) and also introduces everyone the downloadable journals.
