Cycling Class is fun for everyone ~
Cycling Class is great for beginners as well as the seasoned cyclist. As a beginner you may feel intimidated walking into your first spin class, but rest assured it won’t last long. We guarantee our instructors will make your feel comfortable. We recommend that you show up a few minutes early so you can talk to the instructor, get some pointers, and get situated.
Think of your instructor as your guide. They motivate, encourage, and cue certain moves, but when it comes down to it you are in charge of how fast you go, how hard you work, and the amount of resistance you use. It’s rather empowering if you think about it.
Here are some helpful hints to get through your first cycling class.
Beginners Guide to Cycling Class
Wear: Workout Clothes – no long baggy pants
(they can get caught in the pedals/wheels)
Shoes: Workout shoes – tuck in the laces
(No need for cycling shoes, just yet)
Water Bottle: (trust us, you’ll need it)
Towel: (you will sweat)
• If you feel like your bike doesn’t fit, ask for help
• Stay at a lower intensity until you get the hang of it
• Take “posture breaks” when necessary
• Hydrate prior to class
