Renee has over 9 years experience working with patients/clients in a clinical setting and is a medical/health educator. She graduated with a Bachelors in Kinesiology and Health Studies from USF. Her notable work experience has been with physicians from a weight management clinic and their research trials in weight management, exercise physiology and biomechanics.

She is continuing her education further at the moment to attain a Masters degree. Aside from working in the field, she loves to hike, run, play a multitude of sports and go to Giants’ baseball games.

As a championship and competitive college athlete in soccer, volleyball, basketball and dance, Teresa realized the value of fitness and nutrition. With over 30 years in the fitness field, Teresa has a developed a strong foundation stemming from sports and dance along with a never ending thirst for knowledge. Strength training, core/functional training, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness and diet were key to her as an athlete and became a way of life.

Knowledge and education were crucial to support not only her personal goals and priorities, but also for her ever-growing desire to teach, coach, motivate, and inspire others to live healthy and fit lives. As a college professor for 16 years and owner/director of two fitness centers, she has taught a wide variety of classes and programs (from anatomy, kinesiology, nutrition, stretch, x training, weight training, cardio strength circuits, step, aerobics, jazz and hip hop, to conditioning sport teams/athletes). Her extensive knowledge, certifications and experience, coupled with her upbeat and caring nature has allowed her to work well with all ages and conditions, in the many facets of fitness and nutrition.

Dakota lived an active life style growing up “off the grid” in Camptonville, CA. He enjoys hiking, being at the river, and playing sports. Dakota’s clients enjoy his attention to detail and ability to coach each client at the level she or he needs in order to reach their goals. The reason I got into personal training is that, after a car accident, I went through some tough personal struggles trying to rehabilitate from my injuries. I realized I wanted to help people get through their own challenges. I really enjoy helping people become the best versions of themselves that they can be.

Justin’s passion for health and exercise has motivated him in to becoming the best personal trainer he can be. He is currently working his way towards his masters in personal training through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Fitness has been a regular routine for Justin since he was young, where he began his continuing martial arts career. Since then Justin has advanced in jiu-jitsu and actively participated in MMA.

It was only a short time after he recovered from a serious back injury that he realized he wanted to help people achieve their fitness goals and do so with the appropriate form and fitness program specific to each individual’s needs. Justin’s fitness philosophy goes far past physical endurance, he believes the most important step towards a healthy life starts from within the mind and body. On his free time Justin likes to travel, be outdoors, go to the river with his dogs, and catch up on his zzz’s.

Andreas is a NASM certified personal trainer. His fitness background comes from competitive soccer as well as skateboarding and snowboarding. His focus is balance and core stability that translates into functional movements. He chose this field, because there is a high demand for proper body mechanics with the athletes whom he coaches. Outside of SYC he coaches youth soccer within the community working with many different age groups. Andreas is involved in the health care field as a body worker, specializing in Reflexology.

The majority of the clients in his Chiropractic office have a lack of mobility, which has encouraged him to gain a better understanding of why the body works and how to address corrective issues. While watching those he has helped over time, it has forced him to strive for a healthy lifestyle and to take better care of himself. He enjoys skateboarding, snowboarding, rock climbing, and dancing in his spare time.

As a health and exercise enthusiast, Amanda Helmuth found her niche in track 25 years ago after some encouragement from a track coach This generated a passion in her and led her to run competitively and compete in several local triathlons. Amanda love running, but finds balance in cross training at the gym, biking and staying active outdoors Her background and interests have led her to pursue health and nutrition in college, and later to become certified not only as a group fitness instructor, but also as a Mad Dogg Athletics Spinning Instructor, and an AFAA Personal Trainer as well. Amanda has taught a variety of health and fitness programs throughout her career including: Pilates, Stretch and Strength, X Training, Bosu, Kickboxing, and Bootcamp Conditioning. Amanda also enjoys coaching endurance athletes. Most of all she strives to produce meaningful results for her clients.

 Amelia first became interested in fitness and health when she set a goal of getting back into shape after her second pregnancy. Amelia believes that the key to achieving your fitness goals is to enjoy the process and to make exercise fun. She is passionate about helping clients reach those goals by working with them to create a realistic plan for success. Seeing clients accomplish something they weren’t previously able to do is her best motivation.

In her spare time, Amelia enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters outdoors. She loves to hike, travel, and laugh with family and friends.

Nick is new to training, but has been deeply into fitness for about 5 years. He wanted to become a personal trainer because he has a passion for fitness and exercise. He thoroughly enjoys helping others during their fitness journeys. He believes that exercise is the key to a long, healthy life and strives to help others enjoy it as much as he does. His goal is to continue through school and receive a Master’s Degree in Sports Medicine to become an Athletic Trainer.

At the same time he still wants to continue training clients and getting them closer to achieving their goals. Besides helping people achieve there goals, Nick enjoys playing sports with friends, watching UFC fights, cooking, producing music, and laughing with those closest to him.

Gerardo has been deeply into fitness for about 4 years. He is new to personal training, but has had experience helping out friends and family members meet their fitness goals. He has always been the helping type of person. Caring about other people’s well beings has always been one of his strongest trails. His future goals consist of obtaining more personal training certificates and believes there is always something new to learn. Gerardo has been working the front desk at the Grass Valley location for 10 months and enjoys it because he meets new people and makes new friends on a daily basis.

During his free time, he likes to surround himself with his friends, family and those closest to him. He also enjoys going on hikes and walks to meet new areas of town. One of Gerardo’s favorite things to do is lift weights and find new workouts to add to his routine.

Kristen first became interested in fitness and strength as an alternative to surgery for a meniscus tear, and a way to help protect loose joints and prevent further injury. She has been practicing yoga for 16 years, teaching  for 5, and and has accumulated over 3,000 hours of instructing and Personal Training experience.

Her passion is helping others discover the strength in their body. She believes that anyone can achieve their fitness goals with the right instruction and knowledgeable oversight.
